Does changing our avatars take up any site space? I ask because with my well-known fickle nature (no, no...it's true...) I see a lot I like. But I'm never sure of changing it. I know what I know about computers but not enough about site mechanics to know!

No, it just replaces the old one. I don't have anything stored on anything of mine, other than the streaming audio and pictures that I link from my Divshare.
Feel free to change it a million times.
