| Okay chaps, bit of an easy one, what are we planning on playing for at least the first half of 2011? I'm behind the times as always, and have the following list: Left For Dead (Pretty much done) Red Dead Redemption (Picked it up after DS's massive reccomendation) Resident Evil 5 (Started, need to finish) SD vs Raw 11 (Seems to have fallen by the wayside for no real reason) Fifa 11 (Because I'm a football whore) Madden 11 (See above, change football to NFL) Okay, the latter two will be more fillers to keep me going. However that list should keep me going a while. So I'm pretty happy for a fair few months! What about the rest of you? Anything about to come about you're well excited about? That L A Noire looks good and Imay look into that later in the year. | |

| The one game I really want to get is the new NBA Jam. It looks like loads of fun. | |

| Smackdown vs Raw 2011, GTA IV, The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, the new Mortal Kombat on Xbox 360, and occasionally, bouts of NBA Jam 2010. Also, whatever N64 games I get next month since I just bought an N64 today with the last of my money. And of course, whatever NES and SNES games I end up playing and making videos about for reviewing purposes this year on http://gamefira.com | |

| I'm ploghing through Dragon Age Origins at the moment. After that I have Mass Effect (on loan), Force Unleashed (another loan), Fall Out New Vegas (mine), Devil May Cry 4 (mine) and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow to play. I've also got an inkling to get a Wii when they drop in price (because the kinnect is stealing their custom!) because I want to play some Zelda games, especially the Twilight one. I also want to play the three Fables and the second Force Unleashed. After that there's a new Dragon Age game coming out. I may even try SD v R... But THE game of 2011 for me will be Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim...dragons! Elves! Magic! *faints* | |

| You should get a copy of SvR to get some practice in. You could pick up a used copy fairly cheaply. As for what I will be playing: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (360) The man game I am concentrating on at the moment. Fantastic title Angry Birds (iPad): Downloaded this last night after so many recommendations. Its basically gaming crack. I can't put the bastard down. Gran Turismo 5 (PS3): I know my review wasn't glowing, but its a good game and I do want to keep playing it. Call of Duty, Black Ops (360): When I finish AC:B this is waiting for me to plough through. Smackdown .v. Raw 2011: The "go back to" game which gets played inbetween the others or when I just want a quick 20 minute blast of something. As for upcoming games: Test Drive Unlimited 2 (360) 11th February. Adored the first game, really looking forward to this. WWE All Stars (360) April LA Noire (360) (April) Dirt 3 (360) (Summer?) Gears of War 3 (360) November Hitman 5 (360) November Smackdown 2012 (360) October Forza Motorsport 4 (When Released) | |

I never completed it though. May have to give it another go. Same with Fable 2, which I really enjoyed but never completed. I lost all my 360 saved games though, so would have to start the game again.

| I'm currently replaying Assassin's Creed 2.
I have Batman: Arkham Asylum and SvR '11 still to play, and also the Mega Drive collection on PS3. Also I'll probably replay FFVII, the PS1 Oddworld games and maybe San Andreas as I do about once a year
David, where did you get your info on Hitman 5? I haven't found a whole lot on it. I hope it does come out, Hitman might be my favourite series!

| It's advertised on both the GAME.co.uk and Play.com sites for a November/December release. Other than that, I don't have any other details. Hope it actually happens as I loved the last one. | |

| Agreed. Blood Money is a cracking game, one of my favourites ever. The "Dance with the Devil" mission (heaven & hell parties) is superb. I only ask because I was reading in a PS3 magazine about Hitman 5 being a bit of a phantom game or something. Like there's been nothing solid confirmed for it, but apparently contracted programmers and game designers have cited Hitman 5 as a project they have worked on. I can't wait for it | |

| Jordan, you actually have the Oddworld games still? That's probably the two games missing from my collection of old games I actually want.
Oh by the way...I still have your copy of MGS!

| I suppose we will just have to wait and see whether Hitman 5 actually turns up or not, but if those rumours are floating around, then its perhaps not looking good. | |

| Just added another game to my list of ones to play...picked up a cheap copy of Nier while I was in Barnsley. I've been told it's rather good. The story is very me - silver floppy haired swordsman wanders a postapoc. future looking for a cure to a plague effecting his daughter. He's joined by a lady with a shade in her, a talking book and a strange big headed grinning thing...nice! | |

| Heh Heh Heh. Founds something excellent in Assassin's Creed:Brotherhood yesterday. Amongst the various weapons you can equip yourself with, when you get far enough into the game, you unlock a weapon called the "Bastard Sword". Its actually not the most powerful sword in the game, but you have to love any game that lets you use the "Bastard Sword" to dispatch your enemies. I am actually really loving this game. The addition of the recruiting and training of other assassins, and being able to use them on missions, is a really nice feature. Makes planning your attacks a lot more fun. Leonardo's flying machine is still a pig to control though. | |

| Myron: Is Nier any good? It looks good, but I can't afford to buy games unless I know I'll play them through to the end and enjoy the whole experience. David: The Bastard Sword is in a few games I've played. Assassin's Creed 3 sounds good. I've never played the first two, but would like to if I could pick them up cheap enough. | |

| You could almost certainly get them very cheaply now. In fact, the first one may be on XBL as a downloadable game on demand. They are well worth a punt, though the improvements from the 1st game to the second are obvious. | |

| I've found the first two Assassins Creed games cheap for PC, and as I can use my PC whenever I want and I also have my 360 controller hooked up to it, I'll be getting them ASAP. | |

| On Nier I've been told it's good by somebody I trust on these things but it did get mixed reports. I'll do a review of it when I've played it. I gotg my copy second hand so it's cheaper. | |

| Done a bit of background reading on Nier and it's interesting that there are some pretty big differences between the Japanese and the Western games. In the latter you play a middle aged Nier, going a bit to seed but hard as nails. In the former you play a younger version, mid twenties. Much slimmer and slightly more effeminate. More your classic manga/anime hero. I would say that they must have changed the figure on screen too because the publicity pic is very different. The second change is that your character in the Western version is looking for the cure for his daughter. In the Japanese one it's your sister. Finally, the other big change (that I know about) is that one of the characters is a Hemaphrodite in the Japanese version. They aren't in the Western one. It reminded me of Zoltan from Battle of the Planets. In the original (Gatchaman) the character was siblings caught in one body, so was a hemaphrodite too. They changed that for the BOTP one but left him looking strange. It just shows what a different mindset we have for things over here. For me, it shows that we have a why? mentality, Japan a why not one! | |
