A new thread...

...for no other reason than the others seem to have slowed down a bit! How's everybody's 2011 been so far? I'm planning a busily unbusy day today. A bit of shopping, a bit of demon fighting, a bit of present wrapping (its my gfs birthday tomorrow) and a bit of back bedroom sorting...stuff but not really work stuff!

I may also price up tickets for my trip to London a little later in the year. I feel a little shopping there is in order...

Well 2011 has been good so far. Family party last night which was great. Love hearing all the old stories from when my parents, aunts, and uncles were kids. So much material to turn into a book, I really should write them all down one day, even if people wouldn't believe half of them!

Today I need to dismantle a wardrobe and try to put together my new one. Then its a question of taking it easy tomorrow before having to go back to work on Tuesday.

Finally managed to get back on! Teach me to go wandering to other sites in the eternal search for pretty things...

Like you I'm coming to the end of my days off. Today, tomorrow and then back to work.

So far its looking pretty promising. A buddy and i are working on a Wonder Woman script and screenplay to try and pitch at the end of February.

The website that i'm making new game review video content for is taking off, and while still under construction and not officially launched to the masses yet, is looking nice, and already has one of my past videos set to debut.

Just don't sign up yet because they are still working on some of the details of a login system, and aren't ready yet but apparently will be in a week or two.

I was asked not to show this to a "lot of people" yet, but I guess a few is fine.

I plan today to continue what has thus far been a lazy 2011. I shall drink some coffee, sod around on the XBox for a while, and may get around to watching the Jonah Hex DVD I bought a few days ago.

I may even write a roleplay if I feel so inclined.

I plan to help my gf celebrate her birthday today, probably play a bit more Dragon Age Origins, prepare for the meeting of the parents tonight (I've met Helen's, she's met mine, both a number of times, but tonight they meet each other!) and just enjoy my last day of work.

I rather enjoyed Jonah Hex.

Well, I decided that before I did any of that, I'd transfer a couple of Digital Copies of DVDs I got bought for Christmas over to the iPad. The Top Gear Apocalypse Christmas DVD, and the A-Team Movie.

Easier said that done. Firstly, for some bizarre reason I cannot fathom, the Top Gear Digital Copy only works on PCs, not on Macs. Why, why would they do that? They have Top Gear stuff purchasable on iTunes, everyone else who does Digital Copies has them work on both. But oh no, not the BBC. Bastards.

So I go to the A-Team. And this does work (its actually easier for Mac than PC) but iTunes doesn't accept my serial number. I try it again with no luck. Checking on 20 Century Fox's website, it appears there is an error with some of the codes, but entering the serial number on the website will give you a new code...

...except it won't. It tells me the licence numbers have been exceeded.

So I ring the Fox helpline. Where a quite helpful chap tells me that not only did they screw up the serial numbers, they screwed up the website set up to sort out the screw up, by not putting enough new licences on there for the number of people who bought the disc. So you now have to Email Fox, and they will send you a new serial number in a few days when they fix the problem.

I can feel my relaxing day crumbling.

I often watch the movie on the disc once, transfer the digital copy, and then sell the DVD. It's like an instant rebate on any movie.

Mind you, it was actually useful as I needed to write a stroppy letter to a bank for someone. I was going to do it tomorrow, but I've rattled it off this morning while I was in the right frame of mind

I'll try and get another RP up before the week is out. I know the one I want to do but it's putting it together. I'll see how it goes!

I wrote half the role-play. Need to think a bit about how I do the second half.

I'm working the idea I mentioned into a roleplay. It might not be the next one I do but it's got to be BIG!!!

I need to work on mine.

Between the gaming videos for that new site i've been invited to make content for, and the CXA video, I hadn't had time, but I will try to squeeze out a good roleplay for here before the month and the time goes up.

Can't wait to read the rp and I cant wait to watch more of the CXA show.

I think what i'm gonna try to do is this. Record the new footage tomorrow, start the editing in Vegas, and then either do the voice over, or stop and think up and write the RP. And then go back and export the video while I go to bed.

We'll see how that works. Although I hope I don't just slack off, play video games or watch Predators, instead.
