Mike. Help. Can't use your WCW Pack.

I tried to download your WCW theme pack and it downloaded a file with an .rar extension. What do I do with this? iTunes won't recognise it, and neither will anything else on the Mac. How do I get to the individual MP3 files?

You have to extract the files from the .rar. Winrar or 7Zip should do the trick. Download one of those, then right click and extract the files from the .rar.

Google a program called "Winrar". This file I uploaded is basically a compressed folder with all of the files in it. The program will recognize it as a file that can be opened by that.

Rar files are basically a way of packing a bunch of files into a suitcase, so to speak. Winrar is a program that essentially opens the suitcase.

So. it's kinda like .zip files, really. And Winrar can open those too.

I did it like this so I could upload 'em all at once like that.

Well, I take it by the name that winrar is a Windows programme. Not much use to me running a Mac an OSX 10.6.

I'll have to look for a Mac equivalent.

Well, according to the link you provided there Karma, that version of the programme is actually a Windows version, despite being badged as for the Mac. To avoid any problems, I didn't use it.

However, I did find another solution, which worked perfectly. Anyone out there using a Mac (Matt, that'll be you!) should download UnrarX, which you can get for free. Just Google it in Safari. Two clicks and it will extract all the files and put them wherever you like. You can then call them straight into iTunes through the normal "Add to Library" command.

Now to burn them to a disc and set up some playlists on the XBox.
