PS3 or 360

Just a quickie you gents wouldn't happen to be providing caw's for the ps3 versions of SVR09 and above are you? as we sold the 360 at xmas cuz its crap lol

Every single person here has the game only on 360 except for Joxide.

Except for those of us who don't have the game but still have the an xbox360 cause, in schoolyard terms, they are ace!

I've got both machines, and can say with absolute certainty that vastly prefer the 360 as a games platform. I wouldn't even consider buying a multi format game on the PS3.

I have pondered a PS3 at some point. But the Xbox would remain the number one console in the house. (I've also pondered getting a cheap Wii too, to play the Zelda games on)

As for me, I don't need an overpriced behemouth of a system with an unnecessary Blu-Ray attached to it, driving the price up, because without that, it's the same as the 360, anyway. Just with lame "exclusives" that I couldn't care less about.

I already have an Xbox 360 that works perfectly fine for the last 6 years, as well as an extra, second Xbox 360 that someone tossed into the dumpster a month ago and I picked up, brought home and repaired in under ten minutes.

Yeah, i'd rather have two Xbox360's than one Playstation 3. And actually do.

Not to mention that I already bought an inexpensive and perfectly fine Blu-Ray player anyway, that actually cost me less for itself, than I would have spent on a PS3 minus the price of the console, anyway.

I've had very limited experience with the PS3; just a playthrough of MGS4 to be honest. It seems like a solid console. I've enjoyed Sony products over the years so I've no bias.

The price is pretty steep though, and since I own a 360 - which already offers most of the games on the PS3 - I don't really see the point in getting one.

Anyway Paul, I think some formulas have been put up for Joxide's sake that you can use - a real shame downloading CAWs isn't possible cross-console.

360 is like sex with a barely legal virgin, while PS3 is like sex with your own nan.

well tbh i believe in harvey dent, no sorry the ps3 and we have had all platforms in my house over the years xobox, 360's ps3's and wii's and tbh i've found enjoyment on most of them the 360 i just couldn't get to grips with its control pad i mean some of the games look pretty and all that but its control pad was like its creatator ugly and i outright refuse to pay for xbox live what a rip off, at least with a ps3 i get free online gaming even if i have to pay for some dlc, also its more than a games console if you use it right its like having your own HD cinema if you know its capabilitys and play to its strengths, streaming mkv's to the ps3 for HD quality tv shows and movies is piss easy, hell i've had a ps3 for 3 years now and we just brought one for my step son and he's now doing the same thing it's so easy, and with this digital signiture that has apparantly been found games are gonna be alot cheaper soon as well i gather, not that i would partake in the act of video game piracy lol

I have like, 12 more CAW's of mine up on Xbox live, but since they're of all my female characters or male side characters/fill-in midcarders from the past, they've all been roundly ignored.

I guess no one wants to bother with Rachel Starr, Julie Yafuda (Midori), K.C Powers (Kenny K), or any of them. Ah, well I kinda figured that'd happen.

I must get the game at some point. At the momemt I'm too busy wading through Dragon Age, with the sequel to come. But I have finally registered with xbox live so maybe soon...ish!

Yeah no worries blud I got enough CAW's to go on with for the time being but if you fancy taking a picture from front/back, entrance music, wrestling style, signature & finishing moves I can work out the rest from that

Mike - TBH, I wouldn't download women wrestlers anyway, as I've no real interest in watching Women's wrestling or playing it on the console. But if I had more slots I certainly might download some of your secondary characters.

Problem is that 50 slots fill up pretty fast by the time you have got the main CXA guys, the WCW roster, and a few other indy guys. I'm overwriting CAWs already to get WCW in.

I know we can do that pen-drive thing, but I can't be bothered to be honest.

tbh i'm not gonna go out and buy a 360 just for svr11 and pay for a subscription to crap box live when i can do pretty much all the same for the ps3 for free, i mean obviously i'm actually gonna have to go and buy 11 at some point but i do have 09 and 10 floating around somewhere and the only reason i play 09 is because i have a wicked version of myself on there lol

Is the server dodgy on the PS3 version of the game? On the 360 version, community creations is really frustrating as the server is shit.

I haven't experienced any problems yet. But I haven't used it a whole lot, only to DL CAW's. I haven't had any online matches either.

Seemed okay. The problem we have is that the PlayStation Network Store has been updated this week and still no Nitro arena (apparently it updates every Wednesday afternoon, American time) so it looks like Jordan's gonna have to wait some more for WCW goodness

You have no problems downloading CAWs though? On the 360 version, it's a nightmare to download any because the server is so unstable.

Na chap, no problem with CAW's at all. Not for me anyways. But like I said I've only done it a few times.

well you dont have any issues because sony in there infancy got it right where as microsoft are still, i say STILL clutching at straws when it comes to online play there servers suck because all they care about its getting your hard earned dosh to play crap box live gold, ok enough with that rant lol Jord have you still got wood for WCW i just thought that was a teenage thing man seriously get some help lmao

Not quite sure where you get your information from, but it's only the servers dealing with CAW downloads on Smackdown that suck. The rest of XBox Live works perfectly well, thanks. As it did on the original Xbox- which is why Sony copied so many of Microsoft's ideas when designing the architecture behind the PS3's online system.

If you don't like the XBox, fine. I have both and don't like the PS3. Each to their own. But the fanboy anti-Microsoft stuff is a bit old hat now isn't it. They were never any more money-grabbing than Sony, or indeed any other massive electronics company. Besides, unless you're using a Mac to post, you seem happy to use their products at other times

I've still got my old Megadrive somewhere. I used to play that thing daily. I went through so many controllers, and they seemed really badly made.
